David Hockney Inspired Collages

The Cubist Period occurred in the 20th century. It was created by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque sometime between 1907 and 1914. There are a lot of different aspects in Cubism. Cubism is often broken pieced of two dimensional objects. Things that are often put into Cubist works include letters, instruments, bottles, pitchers, glasses, newspapers, still lifes, and humans as subjects.

David Hockney was an artist, who helped start the pop movement in England. The kinds of work that Hockney has done include being a British painter, a draughtsman, a printmaker, a photographer, and a designer. I notice a lot of Cubist features in his work, for example, many of his paintings are filled with many blocks in his collages. Because he was an artist in the Cubist time period it's influence is evident in his collages and photography.
